What Goji’s Grow on

  Many people have heard about the Goji Berry, but few know what it grows on or how long it takes to bear fruit.  Below are some answers to these and other questions about Goji Berries.

 
General Description: Hairless shrub with long, weak, generally sparsely thorny, arched or climbing branches, 1-6m tall, often forming large, tangled clumps.

Leaves: Alternate or in bundles of up to 3, short-stalked.

Flowers: Corolla lavender or purplish, 9-14mm long

Flowering time: June thru September

Fruits: Berries, fleshy, ellipsoid or ovoid, 1-2cm long, red.

Seeds: 10-20, somewhat compressed, with a strongly curved shape.
