Lycopene in Liquid Joint

Though you may not recognize the name of this free radical attacking antioxidant, when you learn of its most common source you will be surprised. According to Wikipedia, lycopene is another naturally occurring element in the body. But as in the Liquid Joint ingredients we have discussed earlier, it depletes as we age.

The presence of free radicals in the body can upset that balance favoring bone-destroying cells; however, lycopene might play a restorative role by protecting against the formation of free radicals, limiting oxidative stress.”

Now for the surprise. What is a great natural source for Lycopene? The tomato in your garden. Lycopene is what makes the tomato red. It is also found in watermelon! While these are fairly common foods in our diets, it is unlikely that you eat them on a daily basis. Also, many people are sensitive to the high acidity in tomato.
