Collagen in Liquid Joint
I try. I really try to give you some good scientifically based information on the ingredients in our products. But, collagen is proving to be a problem for me. Why? When I went to PubMed (one of my favorite sources of information) there were only 116389 articles on current research on collagen.
A brief, (I mean really brief) look at some of the abstracts convinced me that collagen is extremely important to just about every organ in the body. Sufficient collagen is needed for the bones, the muscles, cartliage, skin and all the things I don’t even know how to pronounce.
Wikipedia tells me that collagen is a fiberous protein that provides our cells structure. Like Glucosamine and Condroitin, Collagen is another substance that we create naturally within our bodies. That is, until we begin to age. The loss of collagen in the skin is why our skin thins and we wrinkle as we grow older (not because we laughed or frowned too much when we were younger). So, if you have those fine lines around your eyes, (or if like me they are more like canyons) the odds are you are also losing collagen in your joints as well.
Supplementing your diet with collagen, glucosamine and condroitin in Liquid Joint will not cure arthritis. But it will help keep you moving longer and easier by supporting good joint health.
